Willard G. Hession, M.D.

Dr. Hession joined Delaney Radiology in 2003. He received his M.D. from Northwestern University School of Medicine. After five years in the U.S. Navy as a flight surgeon, he served his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Iowa and completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Hession is certified by the American Board of Radiology and actively participates in Maintenance of Certification. He specializes in bone, joint, and spine imaging, with particular interest in musculoskeletal interventional procedures and sports imaging.

What’s your favorite part about being a radiologist?
I like being able to help others. I served as a US Navy flight surgeon for a Marine Corps helicopter squadron at Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, NC and that was very impactful.
